Just attained Marriott Ambassador level, though they aren’t granting it lifetime, so I need to earn it year by year. If I miss, back to my Lifetime Titanium Elite.
Also, I found out that by invitation only (used to be by Bill Marriott, so I’m assuming it’s now Arne), there is a Cobalt level. Just something else to strive for, though I don’t know the criteria

I liked my Starwood Lifetime Platinum card a lot more than the Marriott one...not the least of which because employees at hotels gave a shit about the status

Crazy that those of us poor souls, who graduated in the 2010s but have to travel as much (if not more) than folks who have been around longer, will never have the opportunity to cling to this card on our deathbeds
