Chief
I felt the same way at exactly the same point, weeks 7-9, it was all bloating for me and went down at week 10.
Totally can relate the feelings of already starting off with weight gain + not being able to workout for weeks prior and first couple weeks of pregnancy (IVF restrictions).
If it makes you feel any better, once I resumed exercise (for me, that was 9 weeks), I felt WAY better and more like myself. Now at 13 I'm starting to feel "normal" weight shape / gain (also petite). Hang in there and congrats!
I was also on the same hormone protocol after IVF transfer for 10 weeks and gained, no joke, 15 pounds in my first trimester with no other real changes. Unfortunately miscarried at 13 weeks but the weight melted right off - leading me to believe it was all hormone weight.
Also I’m so sorry about the miscarriage. Sending you well wishes and good luck for the next. This process is so hard
First of all, congratulations!!
I know it’s tough, but the reality is that you’ll gain a lot more weight as your pregnancy progresses. It was really tough for me - I was used to always being a size 0 - and pretty much everyone I know has shed a few tears over it.
In terms of your specific case of weight gain, my understanding is that ultimately you might experience a bit of a plateau once you go off the meds, but you should definitely expect the upwards trajectory to continue going forward.
I totally get it!! If it helps, pretty much everyone I know who was petite prior to pregnancy gained a total of 25-30lbs, which is on the low end of what you would expect!
How many cycles of IUI did you go through before getting pregnant? Just curious. About to do my first cycle
Thanks for sharing!
