Not so much an interview tip question, but more a timeline question. Have applied for a role at Deloitte on July 11. The status of my application on the portal has since been updated to “shortlisted” on July 20. I haven’t heard anything about the status of my application other than the updates on the portal. When should I expect to get an update about next steps? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m also based in Melbourne, Australia.

Learn everyone's strengths and interests so you can delegate tasks, but also give people work they are interested in or interested in learning if timeline isn't too tight.
If you ever have to decide who gets to stay and who has to go (recession coming), don’t choose the easy way out and base it on something like who got hired last, base it on whose skill sets best fit what will be required going forward. People won’t like you for cutting a coworker but at least they can respect your rationale. How you act when things suck is more important than how you act when things are great.
