Got promoted to SS. Current salary 63k, wondering if I didn’t hit 75k in June, can I ask for market adjustment? Is it possible to get at least 75k?

Congrats. I hope so as I know that is the lower range for SS... my understanding of the band is it is 75-110

Deloitte 6 that’s what I like to hear :)

I went from SA (58) to SS (69) then got a raise from 69 to 74. Since your starting higher, and my numbers were from a few years back, it’s very likely that you will get around 75. Maybe like 73-75?

Thanks for your info! That’s very helpful!

Yes I know I can apply for other jobs. But I probably won’t do it just now due to visa restrictions…

A 5% raise in light of 1) calling it a “substantial” improvement on last year 2) inflation running above 9% 3) peers at other consultancies getting 10-15% raises in non-promo years is extremely disappointing

Q for HR folks! For companies who have offices in US and Canada, how easy would it be for American HR team to set up a role & compensation via the Canadian office for a Canadian remote worker? Would be a lot of work? But i know companies like Meta and Spotify do do this.

I'm Canadian and applied to a US remote role. Canadians don't need a visa for this. One of the ways would be to use Canadian entity's hr/payroll services. They showed keen interested but waned since finding out I'm Canadian.

How do you deal with the industry when you live in a small state (with only a handful of firms which practice the area you want to practice in) and in which ‘it’s not about WHAT you know, but WHO you know’?

Currently trying to argue pay rise (whilst looking elsewhere, but constricted because there aren’t a lot of firms where I’m based) when I know someone with the same job role and less experience is getting paid more simply because they know the partner outside of the firm.

What’s the average salary for first year transfer pricing analysts in USDC? I heard USDC pays lower but when I saw my offer letter it’s really shocking. I want to negotiate my salary Monday, I’m a little shy about it but I’m gonna ask the recruiter... it’s only 47,500. I was expecting 60,000-65,000 or at least 60k... how appropriate is it to negotiate higher salary? Do you think I’d lose the offer?
