No one knows what your rating is but everyone knows if you are promoted. Change your mindset! Congrats on the promotion!
Agreed, change your mindset! It isn’t productive for your inner psyche to think this way. Why? You got the desired achievement.
If you get all 1’s (or whatever the highest ranking is) then you haven’t been pushing or stretching yourself enough. 2+promotion says you are a high performer, and you have the capacity to grow into and even higher performing asset.
Celebrate the accomplishment! Life is a journey, with many peaks and valleys - celebrate the peaks!
Manager 1-I don’t think that is nice to say. I think a 2 rating is awesome and something to be proud of!
It seems that you value rating and promotions more than the actual value you bring to your clients. By having this mindset, you’d deserve a 3.
And I should have also said congratulations 🎈🍾🎉 but I do understand how you would feel. Everyone wants that 1.
Wow. Then refuse the promotion.
Take your promotion...build a bridge and get over it OP.
Sad you didn't get a 1...spare me the nonsense
Cap1 speaking truth bombs....preach
Blah blah if everyone got a 1 what would be the value ?
@K2 we did away with numbers in Federal. I think commercial follows suit next year
I would feel the same
OP, was this an automatic promo?
I got promoted with a 3 after being told I was between 1 and 2. Definitely more sad than happy.
D4 - what did your scatterplots look like ? Mine were at the far right and the same thing happened
1s are unicorns. They are and should be rare.
Exactly on the same boat. D4 really changed my perspective :)
@D5 top right corner
@M2 your thought process is flawed. The value I bring to my clients and the resulting value I drive for the firm = deserving a 1 or 2 rating
Thought Deloitte did away with ratings..
D8 - correct. We on the commercial side still had ratings this year
