Got reached out to by a Meta recruiter for a remote Machine Learning Engineer role and genuinely conflicted on whether it’s worth interviewing. What is the market like in terms of stability and specifically Meta’s because I don’t know if I’m comfortable leaving government consulting for a company with this reputation and volatility in tech right now. It ended up being Amway and now she is trying to recruit me but it’s being phrased as a “selective” interview process for mentorship. I know VP positions can vary with YOE but based off of our talk & looking at JD, this is a very senior position looking for 10 YOE min - I have 3 YOE. I didn’t say anything initially and just sent my resume. I now have a call with HM who’s an SVP. I would love the role - should I dance around YOE or be clear in that I’m junior and would be willing to take a lower level to still be considered during the call?
