Got tested and the results came back as me not having ADHD as a result of I tested too well.

Extremely discouraged because I display ALL of the typical symptoms and now I have no idea what’s wrong with me 😔

I badly procrastinate; space out of conversations regularly; and get distracted by my own thoughts more than I care to admit.

Wouldn’t be hard to get some doctor to say you have it. It’s pretty subjective.

Which tests did they do? There are a few, and they vary in how reliable they are. And also, are you trying to use the diagnosis for something (like GMAT testing accommodations)? If not, you may not need a formal diagnosis; most psychiatrists will give meds based on the symptoms that you describe to them

I would definitely recommend getting a second opinion. If the results come back the same, your symptoms could be more related to anxiety or something else.

Typically “results came back” is a red flag. A good doc / provider doesn’t need a formal test - my diagnosis had forms to give background, but the diagnosis was just based on conversation. I’d find a new doc or specialist and get another opinion.

Yeah my doc was explaining it to me within 10m after just asking me to describe a day in my life because I had only half filled in the forms in the waiting room

My husband is an extrovert and gets dopamine hits from conversations with folks. He can focus really well during these times but can’t focus well with anything else. Maybe switch doctors and see if they can do a more wholistic test?

So my question is now, does SAC have an in built excel option which would allow users to enter root causes across materials and then SAC refresh this

Anyone really struggle with lectures? I find it challenging to do online trainings when I have to listen to an hour of a recording of someone talking over a PPT.

I always end up 2x speed, which helps, but even then I manage to get distracted. I find it way more efficient to read materials on my own.

If anyone has strategies to make things like this more bearable I’m all ears! 🙏🏼

My pharmacy informed me that the insurance will not cover without authorization from the psych. My psych was wary about this & instead suggested Ritalin during my session.
