I don't even have to know what job you're talking about, the answer is yes. If you want to grow into management and increase your salary, a Bachelor's is usually going to be the minimum.
Actually a Master’s is the new Bachelor’s. Get it.
As someone who has a couple of masters degrees, I would say that my certifications are what have gotten me hired, as well as raises. My manager doesn’t even have an associate’s degree.
Unfortunately a bachelors is becoming the standard in healthcare, especially if you want to grow in your role and not hit a ceiling. A mix of education/experience is vital.
Better if your employer pays for tuition reimbursement.
It really depends on what your career goals are. I've been fine without a degree, but some roles require it.
Yeah I have been fine without one, but wanting to go in a more healthcare technical role with data, I have certifications. Just looking to grow in that area
If you have an opportunity to earn your degree than pursue it . You will never regret that move.
Here’s the thing: you don’t need a college degree to get a job. This is true. Many places don’t have a college degree requirement. However, most high paying jobs will have a college degree or higher requirement just for your application to even be looked at. In HR, we will toss out applications that don’t meet the minimum education level requirement.
Here’s why a bachelors is important at some companies. Companies like people with at least bachelors because it shows them you are capable of following through and completing a degree.
Second your skill set and experiences will also be the very important because it’s what makes you valuable to the company. In other words what can you bring to the table.
A bachelors alone without skills or experience wont get you a job. So that’s why it’s important to get experience and develop your skills through internships and summer jobs during schooling.
Don’t be the person who focuses so much on school getting 4.0s that you forget to get experience in the field you are wanting to go in.
It really depends on how much experience you have, what it is in, what your goals are, etc.
It depends on your role. However, having a bachelor's degree will give you an edge over others and will help you land better positions. Although, having a great skillset through experience is also great especially in keeping the job.
