You know what’s not reported because the media wants to keep the sheep in line: that there were two votes last week to pay government employees despite the government shut down and all democrats voted NO! If this doesn’t tell you enough about the game they are playing - I don’t know what will. They also gave Obama $25B for the same border, but now it’s immoral. Democrats = game playing haters
That wasn’t my post...
Sm1 - that was a bit of an aggressive response to a benign opinion statement
A brain shutdown...
Somehow I’ve managed to trudge through and continue on with my life.
Do you always let what the government does swing your emotional state?
Man SM 1 is this just a lasting mood or do you just carry this much hate/ annoyance for the smallest details all the time? Most be hard having to complain constantly about every little thing someone says.
A nightmare that pelosi has WAY too much power. The country voted for trump, the wall was one of his top campaigns, clearly the country wants the wall. Blame the dems, bye
I think P2 is referring to the fact that each branch is given specific, different powers and authorities, which is quite different than saying they are “co-equal”. The term “co-equal” would imply to many a sort of system where they both have to agree or vote on things. It is more accurate that each branch does their part, and the separation of powers has been designed with many checks and balances to limit the power of the others.
Congress makes the laws. No other branch has to agree with them, except if they do not have the supermajority needed to override a Presidential veto. The Supreme Court can rule a law unconstitutional, but otherwise has no say over what Congress passes. The President has the sole authority to pardon people, no one can override his decisions in that area. He is also the Commander in Chief and no other branch can direct the military’s actions, other than indirectly through things like budget appropriations. The President can declare a national emergency, and so on.
That’s very different than saying the branches are co-equal and have equal say over what happens.
And the country voted in a Democratic House majority 2 months ago, D1. Clearly the country is over it. Blame the GOP. Blame the Prez. Buh bye
At least I finally got to get my Global Entry interview finished.
