Graduated from Babson College (MA, US) in 2014. Became passionate about the tech industry during my SY. Came back home (I don’t live in the US) and worked for a family member for four years (non-tech). Left in 2018, started working on my first startup (TravelTech). Shelved in March 2020 due to Covid. Huge pivot - started working on my second startup (DeliveryTech). Failed, wrong market.

What’s my next move? I’m thinking about grad school + working in the US post graduation. Cheers!

Hi Tax Bowl - I’ve recently started looking at LinkedIn opportunities due to low morale, EY Technology, and a baby in 2020. Wanted to get a few opinions on jumping ship - Tax Manager 2, in a pretty manageable group with mostly 45-55 year round. I think I’ll get an offer this week from a large private company - has a brand new international tax director from public and I would be a sole tax manager over domestic with the goal to insource provision and compliance from a service provider. Thoughts?

Need some advice, please tell me what you would do / what you recommend I do. Have an offer that is a 50% pay increase from my current role. I’ve only been at my current firm for 10 months and was in my previous role 11 months. The jumps are easily explainable and this new role is as close to my “dream” role as it’ll get. Hi Fishes,

I was offered RSUs for the first time as part of my compensation. I think I understand the concept as such but there are a few intricacies I was looking to clarify. Could anyone let me know if my grant date is 9th nov, 2022 and vesting period is 1 year, will I get RSUs allotted at the price of stock on grant date or vest date (in this case 9th nov, 2023)? Happy to connect in DMs as well

Hey everyone. I had a conversation with a friend of me about what is the better approach:
Click apply on LinkedIn without even reading the job description.
Or
Read the job descriptions and detailsod the work before applying before applying.
The first approach is not time consuming maybe you have to apply to 100 where 1 might be suitable.
The second approach requires you to read 100 job descriptions where you apply to 10 and 1 will be suitable.
What are your thoughts?
