Been at Alphabet my entire career post-undergrad. Managed to move from Google to a well-respected Bet where I’m very happy. Undergrad was a pretty general liberal arts degree and haven’t pursued grad school yet.
What would it look like (from a TC + long term career standpoint) to switch over to MBB for a year or two then go back to FAANG?

Have a clear post-MBA goal and work backwards from there. If you don’t have one, you will be lost in terms of what to do both in the application process and life.

Having an answer will help not only with telling your story, but frankly with actually putting in the work and staying on track.
I think what D1 and M1 said is key. Would add from my experience that you want to do that concurrently and try to get the GMAT out by April / May tops to gauge what are your realistic schools to apply to. The last thing you want is the pressure to get a score late in the year while you have already decided where to apply and started essays, etc.
