Unfortunately all of us attorneys don’t have jobs that pay us “well”

like

I’m sorry to hear that. I hope things get better, but I am certain that you have things to be grateful for. In the meantime, I’m pulling for you! Things will turn around!

The law has been good to me. I cannot complain.

You can’t force gratitude. There are days where I am thankful for my job and days I hate it. It is good to keep things in perspective but it is OK to be ungrateful sometimes.
