I'm in a position where I don't like the tasks that are coming with my next promotion, but I really love my company (culture-wise). I have no idea whether I should jump ship or not.
What is Mck like in terms of inclusivity? Just got an offer. But nervous about all the whiteness i saw. Any 🐠 willing to share about the culture?
Does anyone else hate the interviews that you think have gone well, but then you end up being ghosted? I thought I did well because the interviewer told me I would ‘fit right into the team and team culture’ and said ‘keep an eye on your email, we move quickly and you’ll probably hear about next steps in the next few days’. Makes me feel like I am terrible at reading situations (on top of being terrible at interviewing). I hate not knowing what I did wrong and what I should be fixing.
senior consultant level at EY in tech transformation PM work - how much will WLB vary by project? Been on the same project for over 2 years with low hours and incredible team culture, but expecting 25%+ raise if I leave D
What is Oliver Wyman’s culture like?
Is MBB worth it? I’ve never been in mbb or big 4. Just smaller consulting firms. Have a competing offer between FAANG and MBB. I’m in tech and FAANG is more interesting for my career as well as preferred work culture. However, I’ve seen a lot about MBB here and kind of want to join just so I can say I was in MBB. Is it gonna be killer hours? Promotion politics? Biases on my lack of education? hoping to hear what others have to say
Does PwC have an "up or out" culture in the Advisory practice? How long does the firm typically expect you to stay at Manager
I wish we had the culture of afternoon siesta... my productivity is so low from 2-4pm 😪😴
Thinking about going to M&A tax in Deloitte How is the WLB and teams culture in the nyc office?
What’s the culture like at Wunderman Thompson? No specific agency needed, just in general.
Some general question as I am not 100% on the culture. We forgot our daughter’s scooter at our community park. We see the same brand and color scooter at someone’s driveway near the park. Contd..
Anyone know anything about the culture at slack? Looking for a place with a healthier work life balance. Willing to leave consulting.
I just accepted an offer to go brand side and it was such a cathartic moment. This pandemic made me realize how much I dislike advertising and the ad agency culture. I’m still nervous about the switch, can anyone who have made the switch share their experience?
I have to say, R/GA is probably by far the worst “agency” to work at. Their culture and core values as a company are close to zero. This agency is heavily sugar coated. Welcome to R/GJail.
Went from wanting to only focus on my career and not even wanting kids to now wanting to be a SAHM while I raise kids and go back into a more relaxed job. Has anyone else had a crazy shift in thinking like that? Been single this whole time, so no one is influenting this
How likely is it to get an interview from a M7? And after getting an interview, how many get accepted?
If i am up for promo and new firm start date is past promo, should i withhold this information and give my 2 weeks after? Worrying about burning bridge/ yet that promo/bonus is none neglieable. Ethic?
What are good apps to recommend for quick mental math needed for case interviews? I used math gym but doesn’t seem to be an app anymore
Is there such thing as early promotion in the Big4? If I don’t get promoted this October, when is the earliest I can get promoted?
I’m currently a senior accountant and I mainly focus on accruals and expense analysis. Prior to this role I was in State & Local Tax. I wasn’t sure if tax is where I wanted to be at the time especially because I heard you can get pigeonholed. I actually kind of miss the work that I used to but also found tax can be very mentally challenging. I’m struggling with trying to decide if I should go back to tax or maybe use my current experience to go into FP&A or a Finance related role. Advise please!
Do people actually enjoy working at big 4 or is it the same issues everywhere? I’m in big consulting and thinking about interviewing at big 4 for SC2 roles, I want to make more $$ but idk if I’d be happy...
Have you guys gotten client travel reductions/restrictions even on domestic US projects due to the coronavirus? Will most of consulting be work from home in the next few months?
I received an offer from a quant fund. My offer letter doesn’t explicitly state my role/position, it is nyc based, and that it’s full time. It also doesn’t provide benefits breakdown, just a blanket statement that I’m eligible. I’ve spoken to the recruiter about these items, but general response is that this is standard for the company. To me this is all very strange and I feel it should be defined more. Does this sound normal to others? Can’t tell if i should push on this more or leave it.

Arriving later tonight in Costa Rica at our Marriott hotel. When do you have higher chance of getting upgraded - check in early through the app, or show up in person later?
Both roles are within the big 4. Which service line has better exit ops? Consulting or audit?
I need thoughts on this situation. Mentee is a third year law student. He thinks he's going to graduate unemployed due to Covid. He's worked at law firms throughout law school, has good grades, and ran multiple businesses (still does). He wants to open up his own shop out of law school. Any thoughts? What is he going to miss?
I don't understand why people think it's crazy that we don't have "special occupational skills" as consultants (in relation to the visa issues) I mean we're not remotely close to STEM occupations that the country needs. Can someone explain to me the problem here
401K Advice needed: Hello all, I needed money last year and took out $18K from my 401K. No penalty but will have to pay taxes. My goal is to roll over all my 401K to my IRA. Does anyone know if I still have to pay taxes if I return the money to my 401K? Any info would be appreciated!
