Walker & Dunlop Cushman & Wakefield Greetings! I have two real estate offers. Both are from large RE firms in NYC and pay is about the same. Which is the better choice? Multifamily Agency Origination v. CMBS Conduit Origination

Agency Origination for sure. CMBS is very volatile, some quarters you’re doing zero business because of how it’s pricing. Meanwhile Fannie and Freddie are allocated $75b each per year and lend through all market cycles. You’ll learn about more asset classes in CMBS but Agency finance can be very lucrative and it’s fine to specialize in Multifamily.

I do not know if in NYC it is a common practice, but here in Texas, job applicant tends to show the offers of the competition to their contractors, in this way one of the two improves the contract.

I think the best way to make a decision is to compare the benefits over time and the growth capacity you have in each company. Luck.

Anyone had a FAANG company try to mislead you in applying for a role you’re overqualified for, hoping you’ll jump just for the name? I was approached by Apple for a channel sales role. I made it clear that I have been a senior manager in the past, and wouldn’t take a more junior position than that. The recruiter said the seniority can be defined later, and we should just talk. I had one interview, which went really well. Next thing I knew, they wanted to schedule 6 more interviews [cont]

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently a civil design engineer, and trying to switch to real estate as a Program Manager. I have an interview in a week where they tell me I will have to work on ( for about 3-4 hours ) on an operational case study.

The job is located in Paris and the job is in French .

Does anyone here have any case studies in Real estate that they can share ? and if they're from France, that would be even better.

Thank you in advance !

3 tips I always give to first-time home sellers that make my work easier:

1. Try professional photos. You have one chance to impress possible buyers. Use it wisely.
2. Be flexible with home showings. Maybe your possible buyers won't appreciate your house's potential if there are dogs running around or too many people inside.
3. Respond promptly to a purchase offer. Some people don't have much time to wait for an answer. Be quick and responsive!
