Guess I’m not the only lawyer who has watched Squid Game lately.

Watching the first two episodes made me start drafting my resignation letter. This series is so accurate also for biglaw.

Particularly touching was the scene where they could vote over getting out safely, but without money, or continue ahead with their life on the line in pursuit of the ultimate prize.

We live in a world where safety, family and happiness loses out to money and the quest for self-realization. I’m getting out.

OP did you see episode 3 yet?

Hey OP, good for you that you are getting out because you know this is not for you. It is truly a stressful profession. It also seems that you are really miserable. Have you tried seeking help from medical professionals?

I have none, apart from special occasions and holidays. I think that kind of message raises the threshold of calling. I’m saying I want to be left alone unless it’s a REAL emergency.

Parasite was no better than any other New American Horror films that have come out over the past few years (get out, etc.). Good but not groundbreaking or masterpieces by any stretch.

Money can’t buy time back with your dead loved ones 😭

The show definitely hits a little different in this profession that most of us initially joined with crippling debt.
