Does anyone have reccos for online classes, resources, or even books for guitar and/or bass lessons? I have taught myself both and can carry a tune but have found myself hitting a wall from lack of music theory or technical knowledge and would love to be able to just jam a bit more as opposed to looking up chords of songs I like.

Is it normal to get basically zero feedback? Brand new associate working at a mid sized firm. Been there a few months now and firm is still WFH. I get a fairly consistent amount of work. But I send my work product off into the ether and typically hear nothing or very little back (even when I follow up). I’ve gotten same vague “good work” feedback but that’s about it. I’ve drafted memos to clients and some briefs that have been sent/submitted nearly verbatim, so I assume that’s a good sign.

Not completely an investment question but I’m going to ask anyway. In 2020 my daughter got braces. Based on consultation in 2019 I was told insurance pays $1,000 and my out of pocket would be $1,600 so I set up a limited FSA (in addition to HSA) in 2020 for the $1,600. She got the braces in Oct 2020 and I paid the 1,600 out of the limited FSA. I switched jobs in Dec 2020 and my insurance ended. I selected coverage at my new employer in Jan 2021 that doesn’t include orthodontia. Cont’d

I’m in my mid-40s with a 7 year old and baby. Is it too late for me to back into public accounting? I was laid off last year and found a great job in a large bank. I miss the flexibility, challenge and rigor of PA. I would love your opinions. Has the ship sailed for me in PA? If I go back I would be an experienced senior; maybe, a year or so from manager.

Another laid off case here. Anyone moving out of US considered keeping the 401K as is instead of withdrawing? Any pros / cons to keep in mind ? Pro I see is no penalty and the fact that it'll continue to grow till I turn 65. Con is that it's a decent size amount in my case and I might need some if that cash if I don't get a job soon 🙄

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
