I’ve slowly started drinking less and less. And the less I’m drinking the more I realize just how much of my time revolved around alcohol. From going to get it, to drinking it to fighting hangovers. Now I realize I need something to fill all that time with. Especially now that I’m not spending all day saturday and sunday deathly hungover. Fellow lawyers with ADHD and other mental health needs, how do you avoid having to constantly cancel appointments due to such an unpredictable work schedule? The therapist I see now has a strict 48-hour cancellation policy and requires me to come in every 30 days in person for my prescriptions, but work things tend to come up unforeseeably and I then have to cancel at the very last minute. Do I talk to my firm about it? Are there providers that allow more flexible cancellations out there?

What has your experience been with the Calm app? Would you recommend the paid subscription? Plan to use it for managing anxiety but looks like they also cover relationships, self esteem etc.

My boss does this thing where he'll give comments like, "make sure you include the proper language regarding X." As if we always include X and I'm an idiot for not including X.

When asked if X is a new development in the law, he'll say something like "no its not new, it's something we always do." But then I if I go look at his past drafts, he didn't include X either and only started in the past couple drafts.

Why can't you just say, "I have some new language that I want to start including"?

Took 2 months but today my refund was initiated by Goibibo.

Genuine question. How can people say that racism isn't a systematic issue in the US?

We had 300 years of slavery, 100 years of Jim Crow, and 50 years of mass incarceration. The original US Constitution said that black people were 3/5ths of human beings. I just don't see how someone can claim that racism isn't a serious historical issue in the US. It's not like all that bad history just magically went away one day.
