Guidehojse folks- recruiter reached out to me about an experienced associate position. Little bit confused how this fits in with the associate -> senior associate -> manager model.

Experienced Associate is functionally the lowest rank in Guidehouse. The only associates are college hires. You are most likely postponing promotion until at least Aug 2020 if you take the job.

This is a holdover from the PwC model. Their model is Associate>Exp. Associate >Senior Associate > Manager > Director > Partner or MD. Traditional track is 3 years to Senior. Other places like EY have 2 years to Senior and no intermediate rank.

1-1.5 if you’re good. 2-3 if you’re average
