Despite what you may see elsewhere on FB, some people do actually enjoy working at Guidehouse and get compensated quite well.

As for promotion, I’m not interested in the manager level quite yet. I’m on the higher end of the band because I am a SME and generally just like the workload of a SA 🙂

Nowhere, haven’t had the bonus/raise convo yet but I love my work and I’m already pretty well compensated

Lol never mind

Seems the people who are really upset are the new hires to deluded themselves into thinking they’d see more money this year.

We don’t have a specialist track so a lot of SMEs that wouldn’t want to/couldn’t manage a team come in at very high salaries due to high bill rates from their years of experience

There are talks to create this type of track, I think it would be a great move for GH

I’m leaving! Looking right now and found out that Guidehouse is shafting me! My partner is also terrible! Looking at EY, Accenture, Accenture Federal, and some small boutiques.

How is the Firm shafting you?

I don’t want to say but I’m waiting for an offer this week... fingers crossed. If the offer is no good I am asking a friend to refer me to Deloitte. I wish I could give notice yesterday.

People have this attitude bc no one wants to work in a negative place. Constantly bad mouthing the company will not result in anything productive. If you have solutions, share them. If you’re over it, then it’s not the right place for you. There are people who are proud to work here and open to working through the issues.

SA making 136? Why no promotion?

Hahah oooooook

I’m only a few weeks into the in-house world and I have to say that it kicks ass. I get to spend real time learning about how our business works without worrying about billable hours. I’m sure I’ll become more jaded as I go on (as lawyers do) but I want to take a moment to appreciate it.

Had a recruiter for Grant Thornton contact me on LI about a public sector experienced strategy manager role. Thoughts on ballpark comp? Not looking for info about culture/WLB/etc, just comp. Thanks!

After nearly 20 years in the military serving in T&E and HR roles, I’m considering moving on and have been conducting lots of research into consulting. BS, MA, and SPHR cert - no MBA. I’m looking for suggestions or advise about transitioning. DC Metro area is likely landing spot.

Good afternoon
I currently work for the federal government as a Management Analyst with a secret clearance. I’ve worked for the government just under 7 years. I am looking to transition into a contractor position preferably remotely. I have my Master’s degree in Management & Leadership with roughly 5 years Financial experience working in the Banking Industry. Any and all assistance/resources on how best to pursue this track would be most helpful.

Got an offer from the government and they are asking me to complete the pre-employment requirements. Start date will be established after we find out that I meet those equipments. I want to negotiate the step and vacation time. Do I negotiate before or after completing those pre-employment requirements? Also any tip on how to negotiate is appreciated!

I ain’t tryna brag, but when I moved to Chicago in 2016 the Cubs won the World Series. Just moved to DC this year. Just sayin’.

You'd think I'd know this, being a BAH alum... 😬

For job postings on the BAH careers site that list a specific clearance in the requirements, are those a hard requirement or will BAH hire you and sponsor you for it if you're a great fit for everything but the clearance?

Mine went out of scope last year and I've been kicking myself for it ever since!

Does leadership know when you google “Guidehouse” the first thing that pops up is a grill in MD.

Also, will a free soda (after the purchase of a brisket sandwich) be a part of our bonus this year?
