So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Don't worry my friend. Keep trying you'll get better opportunities ahead.
Rejection does not always mean that you are lacking in something. Perhaps they found someone who can join earlier so they went with them, irrespective of how you performed.
Keep your chin up, heaven's got a plan for you !
Don't go for the companies which give take home case studies. Waste of time generally
I disagree with u here. I've been thru more than 15 interviews and some of them were take-home case studies (and i cracked some of them and will be joining one of them soon). Those case studies actually helped me learn lot of new technologies and methods. One of them made me learn machine learning and this knowledge helped me crack the next company (which gave me a case study).
This may not be relevant for non-tech case studies but I'm sure there will be some learning at the very least which u can carry over and apply somewhere else.
