Guys, I finally did it!! After 8 months of searching, 239 job apps, 22 screens, 12 HM calls, 8 on sites, and 4 offers, I am finally leaving banking for an industry role with a normal wlb, and with a 40k TC kicker to boot. Q2 assessment with my boss today. I’ve been in my current job 6 months. He told me I was doing a great job, he had no complaints. He likes my enthusiasm and seem to identify problems find solutions right away. I asked about compensation, as he found out when I took this job it was only about 3k more than what I was making (but still above the hiring range, which I’m grateful for). He said he’d speak with the HR VP. He said as a director I could possibly be bumped up another pay grade. Thoughts?

Just got an offer a Deloitte Consultant position and the HR recruiter said base pay will be in the low 90k with no wiggle room. Also currently interviewing with Accenture and the base pay ranges from 117-147k dependent on band.

Is Deloitte’s compensation not flexible at all? Any tips on what to do or how to navigate?

Hiring managers - how many offers do you usually send out for a position (1) you're hiring for? How do you know when a candidate is "the one" to send an offer to?

I have the offer from a non-FAANG (via recruiter), and the hiring manager told me on the side that the number m is at the top of their range as far as he knows.

I received offer letter from Accenture mentioned joining date is 1st-Oct-22 as I had told them that my notice period is of 3 month,Later I got to know that it is 1 month as i am still in probation. So I asked them to give early joining.

HR told me to put resign and let him know my LWD and as per that he will send revised offer letter.
My last working day is 20 July. Still I haven't received revised offer letter.

Hi everyone, I want to do a sense check on my paycheck and taxes.

I am a staff 2 in tech consulting at EY in Chicago with 1.5 YOE. Current base salary is $91.2k and with RACs etc I am right around $95k. I contribute $250/month to my 401k which EY matches. My total comp according to the Better Me dashboard is ~$105k

However, my take home each month after taxes is ~$2.4k. The ADP app tells me that 32.5% goes to taxes and my gross pay is 67.5%.

This just doesn’t seem right…anyone help explain?
