I am pretty desperate working for a brand like Google, Meta, Amazon. I do have worked as business analyst and project manager in life insurance domain but I think such exposure is meaningless for these brands. What certification do i need to pursue to make myself eligible?
I am not so good in technical to help teams technical issues rather I can definitely add value in integration or logic building or giving functional clarifications

Is it considered unprofessional to send an email instead of a formal letter? Specifically, my firm has been retained by a title insurance company to obtain an easement for an insured property. Our first step is to reach out to the neighbor to ask them to grant the easement directly. The neighbor is a realtor and I easily found his email address online - I went to draft an email to him but found myself wondering if it’s unprofessional to send an email rather than formal letter. I can’t tell if I’m being too sensitive or my seniors are really passive aggressive towards me all the time. Like I can’t lash out at micro-aggression, what am I supposed to say? Treat me the same way as you treat the other staff? My working environment has taken a toll on my mental health and my desire to stay in audit. And idk if it’s my fault or I’m just in a really toxic environment. I haven’t really been on other teams.

I’ve been working in consulting for about a year and am thinking of getting my masters now. Would an Masters or an MBA be more beneficial to me in my future if I want to continue consulting after? Or I guess my question is, is one year of work experience too little to start an MBA program?

How many of you have an MBA or Master’s Degree of some kind? My company has a ton of staff with an MBA so I wonder how essential it is? I would like to avoid getting one (can’t justify the insane cost and my company doesn’t offer tuition assistance). Are there other certificates that can be helpful is gaining more business acumen related skills?

Thinking about making the move from large regional firm to Big4 (very much interested in Deloitte, as they appear to invest considerably more into recruitment and retention of minorities than competitors)…. Is this true or am I looking through rose-colored glasses? Also, I’m looking for a more interesting client portfolio… but reluctant to give up the work life balance I’ve recently been able to achieve. Anyone have insight on charge-hour expectations and WLB for experienced mgrs at Big4?

Juniors (not a reproach but well meant advice): Learn the « language » of the matters and practice areas you are working on, eg if a client matter has a nickname learn the real name and the nickname; if the client refers to something as something else learn that as well. It will help you communicate with both the client and senior lawyers.

Was I in the wrong here? Had a contractor do some work and got a verbal quote for $2500. The bill ended up at $6000. Contractor argued the quote was for materials only, but that wasn’t said (he insisted the quote was $2500 + unspecified cost of labor and equipment). Since nothing was in writing (won’t make that mistake again) we settled on $3500.

Is it normal for a contractor to give open ended quotes like that where labor is an unknown? When I get a quote I expect it’s for the entire job.
