Any tips for navigating client office politics? I’m working on a process improvement project involving multiple teams and one team feels threatened that my client team is taking work from them (and that their jobs will be in jeopardy as a consequence), and they are slowing down progress which prevents me from doing my job. Client execs are aware but have their hands tied. What’s the best way around this?

I’m actively looking for new roles, applying and interviewing. However, I’ve been put on a project that is requiring a lot of my time. In cases like these, would you ladies suggest less effort on project (not taking a lead role), more on job hunting, or what? I just don’t want to waste any more time, because I’ve been putting applying off for a while and I want to make it a priority.

We’ve done a good job being civil about everything but I make $180k and ex makes $70k so there is an income difference (married 8 years).

I am moving and roommate is deciding not to take the couch or loveseat.
