Very tempted to out the white people who are wasting my time. There are also a lot of bengali people requesting membership. I don't know what that is about.
I've met with a number of smaller, indie shops, e.g. downtown lofts, "chill vibes", stylish crew and I always feel like I'm auditioning for the cool kids table.
My partner has a lot of student loans and is on income payment loan plan where her loan gets forgiven after 10 years of public sector work. Because her loan payment is dependent on income, we are afraid that if we file our taxes jointly (we got married last year), her loan payment will go up significantly since I make a lot more than she does. We are thinking of filing married but separately so our tax returns remain separate and she doesn’t get penalized because of my high income. Thoughts?

Anybody with approved H1B but not stamped due to no on-site opportunity? Any ideas what should be the next step ? Can I apply for deloitte US job directly? Or look for jobs outside using the same visa approval?
I hate mentality of people towards taxes.
First, everyone pays taxes.
Second, paying income tax should be considered pride. We are paying because we are earning well enough. And we are paying only as per our slabs, not randomly.
PS: If you are planning to compare yourself with tax evaders, then I don't wish to continue this conversation.
I am looking to change roles and currently work in the public sector. Coming from where I am, I have always taken into account that the salary I have is lower than the same job/duties in the private sector. I believe I am at a disadvantage with negotiating for a private sector job that has way more in their budget to compensate. How do I know if I’m asking for too much? I do not want to be cheated out of what I’m worth! I am looking to go into an HR Coordinator role, 7+ yoe and BSBA.
