Bored at work anyone want to chat ?
Sorry to hear that OP but there are many opportunities ahead of you and you probably haven’t been enjoying recent months anyway, so hold your head up high.
I assume your HR team will meet and tell you that they want you to leave. Unless you think it’s very unfair, I would suggest you cooperate but that doesn’t mean you have to just take the first offer. Hard to answer your first two questions without specifics like years of service, your legal status (visa/work permit or citizen) and your financial needs. Feel free to dm. Most good firms would offer at least a couple of months paid, netting off vacation days, and maybe adding unpaid LoA time if you make a case for it.
On your 3rd question, stop thinking about it. People who follow this stuff will know/guess but you’re never going to see them again. Most consultants pay no attention. What matters is your next role and getting ideas/feedback from people you trust. Stay in consulting or not? What lessons to take from the PIP about jobs to avoid?
Good luck!
Thank you so much. I’ll dm you P1

Why were you on PIP
Have a look at internal roles
That too but have seen moves to other parts of firms in similar situations, believe it or not. Have a look at internal postings and reach out OP.
I know it’s a difficult time OP but this is often less an indictment of one’s ability but more of unfavourable circumstances/misfortune/the result of politicking. Learn the lessons you need to and you will be absolutely fine. I know of a partner who went through a PIP was sacked and well now look
Not the end of the world. I know EY doesn't say on their employment verification letters whether the separation was performance related, so it's not like you have a black mark or anything (especially early on in your career).
Echo the advice to look for internal roles.
