Unable to decide to leave my current company. They are actively blocking my growth and I got an offer for a title promotion, but a significant pay cut. The new job offers $100k, 26 days pto, hybrid 2/3 remote, 37.5 hours a week. My current job (7yrs) offers $102k, 42 days pto, office optional 35 hrs a week. With the new job being in CT, the increase in taxes, 3x increase in insurance premium, and travel to and from, I am looking at $700 a month pay cut. Is career advancement worth $700 a month?

Hey guyss ! So I’m a freight broker for a start-up company making 50k base with a $800 bonus every month. My numbers are great , and I always hit my quotas , but I can’t help but to feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Do you guys know of any other companies that are in the same or similar industry that pays more. Most likely getting fired, tips on how to find a job ASAP? I made a pretty big mistake that required supplemental filings with government offices to fix (missed some items when reviewing/comparing long lists of things across 20-30 years). It’s fixable and the client isn’t really getting hurt by this (worst case signing gets delayed), but my anxiety is telling me to prepare for the worst. Can I ask for extra time at the firm to find a new job (so I wasn’t “fired”)? Or should I go for severance?
