EY2, I have been traveling for almost a year now and in order to avoid paying taxes for my expenses in a different state (where my client is based), I have to take this break

like

The gym. Netflix. Eat well. See friends, family, loved ones.

What's a tax break?

long term traveler!

PTO/training doesn't count towards tax break

Basically I will be on bench for a month and then join back the project after the break.

While you won't be able officially take vacation during your break, if your utilization can take the hit you can basically do whatever you want and charge the hours to your equivalent of GAA. I ended up spending part of the month working with a different country's member firm on an interesting internal project during my first tax break. The second time, the firm ate the bill (a.k.a. I didn't get to take a tax break), and the third time I had the option to work remotely on the same project

Hello Gang, Trying to evaluate a offer I just received. The offer need to relocated from Minneapolis to Palo Alto area. Tech company. HR roles(title downgrade). YOE 6. Base comp is 125k with 10% bonus and 15k RSU. Not sure if this is enough for married couples, early 30 no kid but plan to have family. Total house hold pretax 250k. We feel this might not be enough from the post we see. Should we make the move? Though please

I need some ideas for my last hour class. I teach reading only and I have this class first hour for reading and then last hour again for “communication skills”. I plan on some days doing prodigy, maybe passion projects, and maybe reading groups. This class has a lot of sped kids. By the time last hour comes, they are all over the place. I need things to keep them from going crazy, but want it to be purposeful also. Any suggestion?

Any consultant here who has worked at Citadel or knows someone who is working at Citadel? A recruiter from there reached out to me today, and I got the sense that the culture there is more intense compared to consulting. How would you compare Citadel vs MBB on the below points:

a) Culture
b) Diversity (I am an international student and a person of color, and my sense is that Citadel is not as international)
c) Comp trajectory

Do you feel like women are underrepresented in the insurance industry? I work with a ton of great women and didn't really think much about it until I spoke to a friend who also works in office, she says there are like 5-10 female employees out of over 100 CSM's. If you think there are less women in insurance than men, why do you think that is?
