3 years at a consulting firm or an MBA - which is the better education?

When you're at a recruiting event for a school you didn't go to...the look in the MBA 1s eyes when they realize small talk just got a lot harder

Is it true consulting firms care about your GMAT score? Talking about firms recruiting MBA summer associates of course. I managed to get into a top 10 b-school with low GMAT but will it haunt me?
