I submitted documents in Delhi last Tuesday (11 Dec), updated to admin processing on 14 Dec and got the "issued" status today (18 Dec). Hope that helps.
Thanks!
How many says since you submitted the application? It is normal does not mean anything.
Yes worry not it's normal
I see. Thanks for your response peeps. It's been 1 week since I've submitted the application and today it turned into admin processing. Let's see how it unfolds in next few days. It used to directly go from "received" state to "approved" state before
@M2 how did you get past that ?
Both me and my wife got admin processing (separate h1b stamping )... I Got admin processing update after 2 weeks of drop box submission. Had to change flight (thankfully was booked on points)...
Hers thankfully got approved without any further steps required (she collected passport on our day of travel whereas I had to cancel my flight as my status didn’t change)...4 more weeks later, they just asked me to come back for finger prints.. and then passport was returned with visa stamped 2 days later.
My advise - be prepared for a delay. It shouldn’t be worse than some random admin BS, which could have easily been avoided if the questionnaire pointed towards an interview as against a drop box.
How do you know it's under Admin processing? I submitted my documents on Dec 6 (Delhi) and my status says "still with embassy". Running out of PTO so need to figureout options.

Yeah I got a 221G at New Delhi. Took 2 months to get a response, which was negative.
That sucks. Are you reapplying?
Give it a couple of days. My case went into admin processing for 1 working days before getting issued.
Where do you all check status. I look on the CGI federal website then it says on the status that "your passport is still with Embassy/Consulate"
