H1b: Roth or traditional 401k??

I am on L1A expiring in Mar 2022 and My company accepted to file for green card. Today I hear from immigration team that the processing cannot be done as they need 18 months time frame.
How can I negotiate with the immigration team and what options I can put forward.

The best decision I made towards my FIRE goal was to move from Europe to the US. I did so at 31 with a NW of $300k. Four years later, my NW is $1.2M as I kept costs low while earning significantly more.
