First I’d explain directly to your client counterparts. If they don’t accept that you are probably best leaving and finding a new project. Unless you were leading the sessions (and sometimes even then) there is no reason you couldn’t be absent for a valid reason and remain on the project. Seems fishy

I have been offered a position in-house at a $500M-$1B company, mid-sized city LCOL, 10 YOE in private practice. They offered me $120k, w opp for undefined discretionary bonus. No paid parental leave or 401(k) match & only 1 week PTO in first year (but claim they have discretion for more). Is there any way to salvage this? Salary guides suggest TC should be around $200-215k. I want to get my foot in the door but this seems crazy low.

A former client director colleague has gone in-house as CMO. They are now asking me (currently ECD) to join and set up an agency-like creative team to up-level everything from brand to sales materials. It's a good mgmt opp and good creative is a definite possibility, but I'm conflicted. Aency BS would be nice to step away from, but I think I'm still bought into the notion that agencies are superior and in-house is where washed-up creatives go to die. I joined Deloitte as an EH and have been on a client for 6 weeks now. It hasn’t been great but this week has been especially shitty… no one has a clue wtf is happening, everyone tries to blame someone else… they are extremely inefficient and I feel like most of the work I do is super urgent when I’m asked to do it but then no one really uses it 😅 what have I done???? A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. Is it wrong that I'm sort of pissed off by this? Should I say something?

Opinions needed - I applied for several jobs with Deloitte about a year ago. (I knew I was punching up and didn’t quite meet the requirements). A year later, I have a way better profile and am getting interviews. Sensitive question, but when does a mental health challenge become a performance issue?

I’ve suffered from anxiety and depression so I’m not unsympathetic and recently restarted therapy for myself and have a colleague with anxiety issues who’s become difficult to work with. People have raised the issue but they refuse to get treatment and there’s been no consistent improvement after more than a year. It’s becoming a real issue with multiple people.

Curious if others have any ideas here.

Trying to find a psychologist that allows my insurance and almost nothing available. However, a lot of options for therapists / counselors that specialize in anxiety and depression. Really don’t want to see a psychiatrist yet because I want to try to “cure” my issues without medication until it’s truly needed and recommended. Have therapists helped you? What’s the difference other than a psychologist having a PhD I guess?
