Had a H1b transfer approved until 2023 for a job at a new firm, but I’ve been on a h1b since 2014 (with an approved I-140 from 2017 at my current firm). I thought h1bs are only good for 6 years? Anyone know if this is going to be an issue going forward?

My H1-B expires on April 2022. My perm is currently in process and they are applying for H1B extension and H4 visa extension for my spouse. The immigration team said that they can apply for an H4 ead as well. Is that possible? My H1b visa started April 2016 on i-94 and and is stamped as start date April 2016. I have only been physically in the US for 5 years and 2 months. I am confused on how can they still file for an EAD? Am I missing something?

Can I remain in the US and work for the Canadian branch of my company while my green card application is pending (my STEM OPT just expired and I haven’t gotten my green card approval yet). Traveling will mean abandoning my green card application 😩

Right to work is check is pending from Deloitte's On boarding team which they said can do only after 4/5 weeks may be because of holidays.

Need your advise: Employer filed for Manager role - PERM approved May2021 ; however, I-140 was not filed bec I was not promoted this yr. Employer wanted to restart PERM for Senior role. This means staying for that role until I get GC.
Is it better to just leave & look another sponsorship? If I transfer, is it always the future (Manager role) filed? I am thinking that it’s better to be filed as Manager in the new Employer instead of staying at the same role in my current employer. Your thoughts?

Just got my PERM approved and started prepping for I140. Can I move to another state? My main concern is that it will require another PERM and I-140 can’t be filed.

Has anyone recently gotten a NIE approved? If so, did you file it before leaving the US? The Embassy I am looking at says it may take up to 35 business days before they make a decision and requires to send the application after leaving the US.

I am trying to evaluate whether it is worth taking the risk. Thanks.
