Some schools give you a separate essay section asking of additional information - this is where you would add that and others that don’t specifically ask, you can upload it as an extra document. I’d say you can mention it in regards to your gpa briefly there and leave it at that. If your medical issues in undergrad contributed to your Why MBA build that into your essay so they can put the whole story together. You don’t have to mention every medical issue. Definitely focus on the ones that had the most impact. “In undergrad, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why my body was working against me, found out it was abc, learned how to control that and now that I have my life back I am determined to pursue x,y,z” Definitely doesn’t have to be a big mention unless it makes sense and also there is a disability section of the application like job apps that ask you if you have any. Those together should wrap up your story nicely. **disclaimer - take this advice with a grain of salt as I never went through something like that that affected my grades and I am not an admissions counselor

You should def give it a quick mention in your optional essay. My optional essay was literally 2 sentences saying I got a bad grade in class due to a head injury and retook and got an A

I have a high technical aptitude but I’m wondering how much weight do they hold as far as new opportunities if I haven’t used them in work but understand them well enough to speak through the information and pass the certs. Any insight is helpful only been in a consulting 1.5 yr and want to expand

The pressure at work has increasingly led to a strain on my mental health. I have allowed myself one too many times to prioritize the needs of others (clients, PPMDs, etc.) before my own and the price is showing in my inability to highly perform like once before. I’m at the point of not caring about anything any longer, even if that means risking my job. I’m not sure the reason I’m posting this—perhaps I’m seeking guidance or maybe I just needed to vent. Sigh…

Since George Floyd's murder and the sudden Corporate America "wokeness," I (black guy) have been routinely contacted by unacquainted Partners who explicitly state something to the effect "Client X wants diversity, so we'd like you on this deal..." It really comes across as tone deaf and completely patronizing. I appreciate the efforts to diversity (albeit forced), but Partners really need to learn how to not be so supercilious in the approach. You don't have to overtly state that I'm the quota.

Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
