My father is an accredited investor and invests in private companies. I said I’d give him $50k for one of the investments but technically it’s all in his name. 3x return. Any way to touch that money without double taxation (expecting to pay his highest tax bracket on the returns since shorter than 1 year and then gift tax above $30k)? Thinking about asking him to put it in a separate bank account in his name linked to my credit card - but still likely too much money to burn through.

Reps, you have a client who you’ve had for less than a year. You’ve helped them secure a couple small jobs in that time span. They book a big job with an agency that isn’t a house account but certain producers and clients at that agency are noted as house accounts. The job came through a reco from one of those house account producers. Do you charge the full 25k commission, even though you didn’t really have a hand in the sale, and the client already had a strong relationship with the agency?

I’m realizing why I don’t want to celebrate my 30th bday and it’s embarrassing. when i think back, i’ve always made a big deal out of my bday, having parties and bringing friends together, or traveling to meet someone. it feels silly to admit, but no one ever brings me a gift and it’s bothering me. i’ve never gone to bday or any party empty handed. at the very least i’ll bring a bottle of wine, flowers, gift card, etc. could i be doing something to attract this, or do my friends just hate me?

I’m kinda worried about this whole Russia/Ukraine situation. Russia has about 120,000 troops near their border now and various outlets are quoting intelligence officials saying they expect an invasion in early 2022. Ukraine has a large military but not as technically advanced as Russia. Would not be a good situation. Anyone else following this?

If I don’t see my bf for a few days but they see other people in that time I get quiet moody/cranky with him. Is this an overreaction or am I not wrong for feeling hurt by the lack of effort?

I’m moving across the world in a couple of weeks because I’ve been miserable where I am. A part of me wishes I could put most of what I own in a dumpster and set it all on fire, and move on, rather than have to pack. But that would be illegal and I’d likely get in trouble for that. The irony is in the packing, I seem to want to keep more than I feel I should.

There are days when I'm too lazy to wash the dishes or cook but I don't want to buy food. So I end up eating only cookies and microwavable popcorn all day. My new problem now is that I'm almost out of cookies 😔
