Had a technical interview yesterday, last stage of a 5 stage interview. I thought I was well prepared but my mind went blank as soon as it started. By the end of the time I had talked through the whole solution and they said I had it figured out but due to freezing up I hadn’t it coded. Do you think I still have a chance if the other parts went well despite not coding the whole solution?

No idea, but if you did not deliver on the last interview and it was critical to the actual job, that can’t be a good thing. Most long interview structures are behavioral, cultural, and a combo of hard and soft skills. Is there anyway you can ask the recruiter or main contact for a re-do? Chances are slim but you never know. Good luck!

Personally I think you still have a chance.

I've been in that same situation and unfortunately I got rejected... I was really upset especially since it was a major company and they didn't allow any re-dos but such is life.

It's ok! These things happen... The opportunity that came around after was pretty solid anyways! Getting paid more while doing a lot less work lol

I once hired a SWE who was so nervous they couldn’t answer most of my interview questions. Your performance during the first four stages count more so don’t worry too much.

You still have a chance. Companies often structure their interview scoring in a way that rewards coming up with a solution, even if you don't fully implement it.

Also where should I be looking to live? I heard Boston has a lot of racism issues and is very segregated...

Throughout the interview process, I've engaged with a Jr recruiter, the hiring manager, several potential coworkers, and a Sr recruiter (but not HR). Most recent round of interviews was with potential coworkers. I sent them thank you notes and have been waiting to hear something for about 1.5 weeks. Should I be following up with the recruiter or the hiring manager to check on the status/next steps? I got a good feeling from the hiring manager (we met twice) but never got a timeline. TIA!

Hello Infoscians/Ex-Infoscians!

I will be joining Infosys this Thursday as a 7+ YOE Tech Lead. I am an avid trekker and every year I go on a trek at least once which requires me to take a 5-7 working days off. Its actually my passion.

Just wanted to know how difficult it is to get leaves approved and officially before how many days do i need to inform my manager?

Is there any SOP for applying leaves at Infy?

Thank you in advance!

Here's the thing guys - I am a campus hire at USI with prior experience in Branding (after my grad, then I did my MBA). They have placed me in support project (i will only get support) in sap fico module. This is not something i want to do and i will leave in a year (because of bonus and relocation). But the issue is I am feeling extremely anxious at work, i know part of the reason is I absolutely don't like it, but I still have 6 more months to go. I really can't keep going like this

Is SEO a lost game for a startup? I read a new perspective arguing that for SMEs, competing on SEO is a long and constant fight against the algorithm. Hi everyone,

I am running into quite similar issues in almost all of the companies I have worked so far: Most of the senior engineers just exclude me in the important technical meetings whereas I am doing an important part (technical) of a project. They either think I am not knowledgeable enough for a particular task or just that I am good at doing some non-technical/manual task. I am the only female in the technical team and how do I address this issue & to whom? Thanks in advance!
