I’m graduating with a masters in finance this fall. I just accepted an offer with Unilever as graduate finance intern. The problem is, i feel that I may be making a career mistake by entering the industry without having banking/consulting experience first. I’m just not sure if having that background vs. this career path with get me to a higher level in the long term. The FT offer will be an AFM. Prior to grad school, I worked 1 year in sales, 2 years in WM, and have a bachelors in economics. TY
Looking for career advice for a mentee who has two competing Internship offers as a sophomore from Google and Uber. Initially encouraged him to pick Google because of brand name, but the Uber offer pays an extra $10k over the summer and he supports himself through college so it is a material difference. Also from what I've heard, it's easier to get a return offer from Uber than Google's soph program. Which would you take and why? I'm not in the tech field so trying not to give bad advice 😁
Any EPS out there looking for an assistant or an intern? I have experience but making a switch from creative. Have no problem starting at the bottom just need a shot.
Hi all.. looking for some advice on how to start a conversation with my manager about seeking a full time offer after my internship ends in a couple of weeks. We’ve never really had any 1-1 on progress updates or check ins. Would this be a red flag?

If I did an internship, should I remove it on LinkedIn to help recruiters? Because if recruiters just look at YOE, would they screen me out when looking at my dates being 1yr too long for my title?
Hey y’all! So my team just hired a direct report for me. They’re joining as an AE (they have internship experience and we’re an AAE for 9mos). While I’ve always had levels under me who I’ve helped manage, train and oversee - I’ve never had a direct report. Someone who’s development is my responsibility. Any advice on how to be amazing for my AE?
Will taking an internship in Pharma (for the experience — not to line up a job) hurt me for the future? It would be my first agency experience and I plan on going to portfolio school after I graduate
7 years of experience. Should I remove my internship information from my linked in profile?
I’m a newly promoted managing attorney-Right before the pandemic and all of us began working remotely. I’m having trouble getting my former coworkers to respect me as their supervisor. Some have been there way longer than me, some have developed poor work habits (previously our practice group did not have a MA). An intern got really disrespectful with me today in a text and then wouldn’t answer my call. Any suggestions? I really want to be a good manager and take our practice to a higher level
I graduated a few weeks ago and accepted a role for an art direction internship at a good agency but not somewhere I love. They only gave me a day to sign the offer letter, so I did because I didn’t have other immediate options. But a few days later an agency I love reached out to me about a Jr. AD opening. I’ve now done 4 interviews and have another call next week. How bad will it be to pull out of the internship right as it’s starting if I get this offer for a full time job?
I absolutely suck at LC... What can I do? I'm a SWE at Cisco and got in as an intern and promoted full time. Now that I've been here for 2 years, I want to get out because A) my TC is really low, didn't even know how underpaid I was until I saw levels.fyi B) not really loving my job anymore and I don't see where my product is going Because of it, I've been LCing daily for the past 5 months and I'm struggling to do alot of mediums. I've cried some nights because I feel absolutely worthless.
I'm starting a pre-MBA VC internship this Monday, before starting an MBA at an M7 school in August. How can I still learn and bring something to the table when the internship just became 100% WFH?

Sen. Durbin says he is worried that reviewing 3 provisions passed by House will inundate Parliamentarian. Not sure why they hate EB green card applicants so much. While I understand the lots of opposition to S386 from ROW even though there was no harm provisions, deafening silence from them on showing any solidarity now is just sad.

How long did it take you to find a good exit opportunity? Currently want out of EY as I was put on a long term project with a bad client and working terrible hours (80+ hr including weekends) for a couple of months already. I've put on 50+ apps and been denied to some opportunities already without even a chance at interviewing. Losing hope...
Looking to leave big4 and return to the practice of law, preferably in house counsel somewhere. In my search, I notice some of the big4 firms (e.g, PWC) are actually hiring in house legal counsel. Curious to know details about these positions and departments if anyone has insight. Good/bad culture, pay, how you’re evaluated, etc.?
What’s the best way to make use of company tuition reimbursement policy? I want to do a certification (already have pmp) like Apics CLTD or Scor-P. Which one is better or any other one I should consider?
Hello! I am stuck with a problem and need help. I've been working at a start up agency with good pay and benefits for the past 3 months. The problem is, I recently decided to move to another state for my sanity at the peril of losing this job. Upon hire, my CD informed me that the agency wishes to have mandatory in office visits about 2-3 days a week in the future. Now my q is - should i look for another job, then talk to the CD, or should i speak to them now. FYI I do wish to stay with them!
Got an RFE but interview officer collected my passport and stated I don’t need to present any other forms nor come in again. Something about a formality while changing status from OPT to H1! Any exp?

What's the pay range to ask from Amazon if you're accepted in a Project Manager kind of role and you come from big 4 consulting as a manager? Is 160-170K a good range to give? Too high or too low?
MAGA friends, why does every conversation with you about COVID and the US Covid response include a claim that it’s China’s fault? Let’s say I grant your premise. How does COVID being China’s fault make the Trump response seemingly better? There are a number of things the president has to respond to that he did not directly cause - are you suggesting we don’t want someone capable of responding to events they did not have a hand in crafting?
Anyone who works here for E*Trade? Eyeing a position they have open right now.. wanted to know how the company is doing post acquisition by Morgan Stanley? Any expected layoffs around the corner ?
