Had an interview and blanked on a simple Manual JEs controls question. How’s your day going?

I am on my 3rd and final round interview next week for a job I am very excited about. I am interviewing for a procurement manger job and will be meeting with their regional finance manager. What kind of questions do you think I can except from this role? I have never had to interview with a financial person before. Thanks!

What has been your experience with companies asking for references? Is this common? I’m looking for strat and ops roles in tech. I have solid references from the first two companies I worked for but not my most current. Don’t get along with my manager very well which is why I’m looking. Hoping I’m not asked for references.

I gave one round of technical interview with HCL and submitted supporting documents to HR and iboard with CCTC : 10 lakh, ECTC : 20 lakh.
While i was waiting for a call from HR for salary negotiation, The offer letter has been released for 15 lakh CTC without a discussion on salary. Please advice if there a stipulated timeline to accept the offer letter within ? Do they call for negotiation if I don't accept the offer ?

I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission? Should I hold out for the offer or is 1+ week a sign that I won’t be selected?

Can anyone advise on law enforcement career tracks for very experienced CPAs interested in (but not experienced in) forensic accounting? I am 36 and going to retire at 41 - I’m done being a manager/leader in my current tax consulting profession. If I had known about law enforcement careers in college I would have gone that route but by the time I discovered it later, I wasn’t willing to start over on salary. Now I can do that. I love solving data puzzles and want to spend more time doing that.
