Had an interview on Friday. Interviewer said that they would get back to me sometime this week with a decision. Haven’t heard back yet. Should I email them or wait?

It's still this week!

I know but I’m anxious. I keep worrying that if I didn’t hear back the next business day that it’s an automatic rejection. Most other interviews I’ve had recently have let me know the day of or the next day.

I am trying to get outta consulting but I can only get consulting firm offers because all the other industry jobs drop me after the technical interview bc consulting hasn't taught me any technical skills besides PPT and Excel 😭😭😭

Are you all experiencing a pause in recruiting process? I finished all my interviews with a B4 but looks like the current situation is preventing them from releasing an offer!

For those applying/being referred to KPMG, how long can it take to start hearing from recruiters or managers regarding interviews for the roles you were referred to/applied to? I want to leave D very badly.

Interviewing tomorrow at another Big4 firm for a 100% travel position that has "McLean" as the location. Would they ever be okay with me not living in that area? If so, when to bring that question up?

Does it feel like basically our only exit op is operations work to anyone else? I’ve been interviewing for 6+ months now and these are the roles I’m getting steered toward. I want to stay far away from ops & risk tho so I keep turning them down cuz it’s just so damn boring

Trump interview on in my hotel room. Room service, bottle of wine to the face please.

What was the straw that broke the camels back? I’ll start. CEO wanted every employee to have a bio. Format was approved. 50 interviews and write ups. He decides against the format and wants a rewrite.

For anyone who has interviewed onsite with google - how many days did it take for the company to get back to you with an offer or rejection?

Does interviewing later matter? I can only make the interview dates on the last week at Sloan.

Ladies, I have a dilemma. I know the choice is ultimately mine, but I wanted some input. I met my current boyfriend through my cousin and he lives in Chicago. The plan was for me to move to Chicago in the next couple of months. I planned on just continuing my job with PwC. However, I was applying for jobs in NYC and just received and offer for a company I’ve always wanted to work for. I feel like I’m going to have to make a choice between my job and my relationship. What would you do?

Question for recent Deloitters and other consultants who work at consulting firms with job application forms like Taleo (a detailed form) Did anyone skip the non-required blanks and yet still get an interview/offer? For example, Deloitte application has non-required fields asking for supervisors from each job. I would like to put a note: “My supervisor does not know I am job searching; references available upon request should I be selected as a finalist candidate.” I worry that’ll look bad

Are T-shirt, khakis, and runners fine for a FAANG on site interview?

If you put a $ salary figure on the application, but during interviews you realize you sold yourself short, are you cut from asking for higher?

Your task is to blow a job interview in the first 30 seconds. What do you do? “How strict is the sexual harassment policy?”

I'm shockingly nervous for my first interview tomorrow. Haven't been this much on edge this way about anything in recent memory.

Any guidelines on how long your resume should be when applying to industry or consulting firms? For e.g., for every x years, that’s an additional resume page.

Delta rep told me my plat benefits won't start until next year?.... Doesn't sound right at all

I went on a weekend hiking trip with a male friend who I thought was platonic, assuming we’d split everything 50/50. I booked activities and car rental totaling $700, while he booked the hotel. During the trip, he tried to hook up, and I made clear I wasn’t interested. It made the rest of the trip awkward, but even more so when I said we should split expenses evenly…and then he told me the hotel cost $1800 for two nights. Con’t

What is the benefit of working for a big 4 over a mid size? From what I’ve seen the money is comparable and work life balance seems to favor mid size. If you aren’t worried about exit opportunities it seems like mid size is a better option.

Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.

Woke up to cramps and bleeding which has never happened before. I have an IUD and haven’t had a period in years. Can’t feel the strings. Supposed to go to the client site for the week this morning

Currently a C going up for SC this time next year. Really debating if it’s worth it to wait another year and then exit or exit now? How much of a difference/more competitive would the title bump make?
