Had anyone on here tried zoom tooth whitening? Were you happy with results and how was tooth sensitivity?

Have a coworker who volunteers for work but never ends up doing it. At what point does it make sense to go to the partner to address this? We’re both midlevels, and I’m tired of having to put in even more time every weekend to pick up his slack. If this were a junior, I’d address it with them first, but this is unacceptable from a fifth/sixth year.

Post-COVID fishies: How long did it take until you felt back to your normal selves? Are you not quite there yet? It’s been just over a month since I tested positive and although the worst symptoms are gone, I’m so tired all the time. I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. Also, do interviewers still appreciate a hand written thank you for the interview?

Do I have my kid go to universal pre-K where he is in class ONE time a week and then Zoom (he is hyper active and Zoom learning is difficult for everyone) or cough up $28,000 for private school where he goes 5 days a week? Anyone else in NYC conflicted on where to send their kids?

Zoom Tip: Give out your zoom code to students RIGHT BEFORE the class starts to avoid zoom bombers (when students give out the code to strangers). Also, make sure the default is set on the waiting room so you have to approve all participants. I learned the hard way.

What’s the maternity leave policy like at small agencies? I know bigger shops seem to do at least 3 months paid leave, but anyone know what to expect with small agencies that don’t have a deep roster of people to pick up the slack.

Hi! Question. How does your company handle the communication between customers and solution engineers during integration? Do you use Slack, Jira, etc? We are using Slack but some customers won’t use Slack so then it’s bleeding over to other forms of communication that are less ideal. I’m starting to wonder if we would be better off doing Jira tickets. 🙃

Sharing a thought from the leadership layer. Many times, for people who aren’t members of the majority to get a seat at the table (or even into the room), they have to be extraordinary. This doesn’t come without potential challenges. It’s important to be able to work well with others. If you’re not able to do that, you may not advance. Working well with others includes (unfortunately) navigating their unconscious biases. Can be frustrating, but you can do this! Please share your perspective.
