Had booked non-refund flight tickets for my aging parents to visit us in the US for mid April. Contemplating whether to cancel now or after US locks down. ..contd...

Why don’t you go to their website or call them?

And even if nonrefundable, I’d rather never get that money back than have my parents travel right now. The only people I see traveling are people who think they’re immune and that they couldn’t be carriers, aka people who I wouldn’t want high risk family members or friends near.

like

Any idea if Qatar airways will refund the ticket amount? Or just ask me to reuse the ticket at a later date with some penalty.

Qatar’s letting you postpone and get a credit

Check airline policies. Many are offering option to reschedule with no change fees but there may be fare difference. You could book for later and not lose the money as much. Better safe than sorry though.

If anyone booked a non-refundable ticket - better to wait till last minute to cancel the ticket as you're only gonna get taxes back anyway.
But if the airline cancels the flight - you not only get full refund but also some voucher 😉 #comingfromanalyst

Hello Fishes,

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

I am worried because of the time crunch and will be glad to hear some points on this.

We were going to go on a hike and had a hotel booked for a night. Texted him 5 min before arrival and when i was there to pick him up. He hopped in the shower. I got annoyed that he did that because i communicated beforehand to be ready. He didnt like that and said that he thinks that i think my time is more important than his... he canceled the trip and we are not speaking because of this incident... Am i crazy or something?

I have offers from both United Health Group and Atlassian for a Senior Financial Analyst position. Similar Comp (Atlassian slightly higher due to stock options). Coming from another healthcare company as a SFA, does anyone have experience at either company? In the long term, does Atlassian look better on a resume/work experience due to the Tech/Software space? Seems like their culture is great, but a much higher work load due to the nature of the company. Thanks! Happy to answer DM's too
