I had a miscarriage 2 months ago and I’m pregnant again with my 2nd. My pregnancy symptoms during the miscarried pregnancy were wild. Crazy nausea and vomiting and boob pain before I even had a positive pregnancy test. Every day was miserable. And this time my symptoms are really mild (similar to how they were with my first born). While I’m still really nervous about another miscarriage too and barely have any symptoms, I actually attribute this to a healthy and stronger embryo, one that is likely to stay :) simply because it is so much like my first healthy baby. So bottom line, fear not, you may have just gotten lucky with mild symptoms. ❤️

I just had my rainbow baby and I'll be honest I didnt stop worrying about the pregnancy until he came out screaming. Now being a mom there are 1000 new things to worry about. Some level of anxiety is normal, but I really regret not enjoying my pregnancy and making myself miserable for 9 months. Try to set little milestones for yourself e.g. the 20 week scan was a big one for me. Do what makes you comfortable e.g. extra scans if it reassures you, and never apologize for how you feel. Sounds silly but I also treated myself to something small after every obgyn appt, so I had something to look forward to. Maybe try to make something for the baby? That helped me bond with the idea of an actual person growing in me! Also ignore pregnancy symptoms. In my healthy pregnancy I had 1 week of mild nausea and no cravings. In the one that ended in a miscarriage I was sick, had metal taste in my mouth and felt faint! Count yourself lucky my friend!

Thanks so much! He was well worth the wait 🥰

Everyone’s symptoms are different! For example, I had light nausea/bloating and none of the things you mentioned (sore boobs, cravings etc) the first tri. I’d try not to worry and just focus on the things you can control! I def did a few more pregnancy tests when I got worried since you def don’t feel anything to make sure :) I know a lot of drs don’t recommend the monitors since they aren’t the easiest to use and often cause more concern than relief but I know a few mommas who did that. Congrats by the way!

like

It’s so hard not to worry. Even after the next appointment, there’s always something else to worry about (genetic testing, gestational diabetes, baby’s weight and position, on and on!). And then the baby comes and there’s MORE to worry about. Get comfy with worrying. Sorry if that’s unhelpful. Try to focus on what’s within your control. A fetal heart rate monitor might help provide assurance between appointments. Even though you don’t feel pregnant, you will soon enough. I had terrible nausea, but never had sore boobs or intense cravings.

like

I'd actually really advise against the monitor for the very reason that you need to get comfortable with worry. There will be so much to worry about when your babe is born you cant monitor everything. Just get used to the feeling. That and home monitors are notoriously inaccurate.

Thank you!. Appreciate it and will definitely try to embrace this and not overreact. 💕

For my first pregnancy, I was really only nauseous and tired the first trimester. I kind of had cravings for cold fruit, but it was more because it sat well in my tummy for the nausea. There are so many women who have very mild symptoms during pregnancy. One of my friends told me she loooooved being pregnant, no real symptoms but she felt really awesome being able to grow a human. Everyone is different. Best of luck!! And congratulations!!

like

I am pregnant with my first (9 weeks) and my symptoms really come and go. It has made me concerned like you. Some days, I feel nothing. Others I feel nauseated. Others I feel exhausted. I came from a fertility doc so had ultrasounds from week 4-7 and now am with a midwife. I’m trying to tell myself that as long as I don’t see bleeding I am okay.

like

Congrats! Yeah I guess we just need to stay positive.

Also had one miscarriage before getting pregnant a second time. Basically until 22 weeks when I was consistently feeling the baby move, I was counting down the days until my next appointment so I could hear the heartbeat again and know everything was okay because it’s so hard to know what your symptoms mean, or if you have no symptoms, if the baby is okay. Now I’m stress counting kicks and worried if I don’t feel the baby as strongly for a few hours or that day, it means something is wrong. It’s a constant worry fest. You aren’t alone but unfortunately there is always something to worry about and the best thing you can do is find ways to cope. Hang in there OP!

like

I didn’t have those symptoms either OP.. throughout my pregnancy! Don’t be scared, enjoy your time and trust everything to be ok 🤗

like

I’m in 3rd trimester & can say this has happened to me at least every other week of this pregnancy. First trimester it was days where I didn’t feel nauseous. Second trimester it was days where I didn’t need naps. Now it’s the one day every week or two when baby doesn’t kick as much as she kicks on other days. The worrying never ends hah

like

Oh yeah that part when there is kicking one day and not the next. Gahhhhh!! Let me woosah myself on down now.

Im so sorry. Don’t let your joy be stolen! I am pregnant with #2 and was freaking out because my pregnancy is so different than with #1 (I barely feel pregnant). My OB told me every pregnancy is different...don’t let previous sadness steal your current joy. Being a parent has shown me that there is always something ahead to worry about so you need to learn to live in the moment. Good luck and love to you. ❤️

like

Aww thank you!! 💕💕

You can get a heart monitor?

I would be discerning with this one since it can be really hard to find a heartbeat as a non medical professional sometimes which might give you even more anxiety, especially when you are in your first trimester.

I started working in a agency two months ago, and I have two very big projects running simultaneously. My Creative Director left for paternity leave, and left me with all the work, facing the client, going to shootings, editing. I've been working 15 days straight, no weekends. The agency hasn't given me any back up/someone I can team up with to do the job. Is this normal? I'm used to have a partner, a copywriter or another creative working alongside. Keep in mind that I'm mid-level.

So far I’ve been through 1 IVF cycle. I have one embryo that is frozen waiting for transfer. My doctor is wanting me to do another round of IVF to back eggs for baby number two down the road. Has anyone been through this? I know of two people around my age that got pregnant naturally with their second baby after IVF. Does anyone know about banking embryos for future use instead of transferring? My insurance doesn’t cover anything so all this of out of pocket.

Has anyone successfully landed another job while still on maternity leave, and how was your experience?
