Do your homework too! Try to journal between sessions, eat well, exercise, and I’ve found the app Happify to be really helpful too.

PSA: like any job, therapists may be really good or really bad. I’ve quit plenty of therapists that were not a good fit. I am often really saddened to see people give up on the whole concept of therapy after a few fruitless meetings. Despite the DSM, the specifics of our mental struggles are really as varied and nuanced as we are.

You have to fight to find the right person. Imagine you are a parent and your kid has some strange syndrome making them sick- would you just give up if the first doctor you went to said they didn’t know what it was? Or would you beat down the door of every medical establishment you could find until you found the right person to help your child? That is how you should approach your self healing too. It’s a matter of life and death.

Hi all... received medical RFE for my AOS (EB1C India non concurrent filing in December, 140 approved in May, FP complete in April 2021)
They have given an envelope but the medical records cannot fit inside. Any advice on how to handle this ? Should I just tape or Clio the envelope with the sealed envelope ?

Im 29, husband is 28. We just recently got married. Ive been unsure if i want kids my whole life but as time has gone on, ive felt more of the desire. My husband definitely wants at least one child. What should the reaction be if the vaccines end up only being reasonably effective. Say we end up with a going forward rate of 100,000 dead per year. Or 50,000. Is there a point at which you say you were willing to take the risk and move back to a normal life (gatherings, restaurants, travel, etc.)? Recognizing they lockdowns can temporarily reduce counts, but not eliminate the disease.

Why do I get an auto-decline from MBB? I usually get to the online/HireVue interviews for every other company (finance, consulting). Sometimes it feels like I can't tell dreams vs memories apart bc my dreams are so vividly realistic but my life memories are fading/slipping due to suppression (not talking about them, not reliving them) and mostly since becoming anti-social after some PTSD events and growing up hyper independent. Most of the time I question if something I "remember" happened in real life, or if it was something from a dream.

So my bipolar dad got declined for a mortgage because disability gets shut off in < 3 years when he turns 65. So now he wants me to co-sign for him. Between housing markets being up, my concerns over his money mgmt, and concerns over tying up my credit there’s no way I can say yes. He sold his house before being approved for the new one he put in for (against my advice). I know he won’t understand and will take this personally, and the family will probably take his side.
