Had my second interview for a non legal role at a company in which a legal role just opened. Is there a way to indicate interest for both positions without damaging my chances at both?

This is possible, but a very tough needle to thread and is so fact-specific that none of us can give you specific advice on how to do it. Unless both positions are absolute dream jobs, I'd just focus on the one which you want more.

Probably not go all in on one or the other.

I would. I did that during the interview for the job I just started. I said, I’d like to throw my hat in the ring for position x and I got position x. I explained how I admired the company and wanted to help it succeed in any capacity. Go for it!

I am a 7 year litigation associate and so burnt out on it. I want to transition to in house, but have applying and not getting traction. My experience is mostly insurance defense/coverage, and most of the positions out there seem to be for tech or transactional work. I also come from smaller firms and a smaller school, so no big names behind me. All the recruiters I’ve talked to will only peg me as an insurance defense associate and won’t send me anything else. How do I get out of litigation?

Recently passed interviews and got an offer, but I'm not too excited about the role and the overall package. Will recruiters in the future be able to see that I already had an offer? Would that impact my chances to get an interview if I applied for other roles? I would love to work for Google at some point, but might want to wait for a role that's a better fit. Or should I just accept it to have a foot in the door and try to transfer after I joined? Many thanks for your advice

Hi Fishes,
I have recently joined Axis corporate office virtually on 29th March 2022. I have keen interest and hence wanted to pursue Data Science and ML journey because im more or a technical guy. I have 2 years and 3 months of experience in the same. As the Notice Period ended, I joined Axis. But I’m thinking the BA role i have in here is a non technical one. What should i do?

I’m pretty confused. It’s few days only but i don’t know I’m not getting a good feeling now.

Please help.

Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone provide insight on whether I have to be a CA resident to waive into the CA bar as in house counsel? Planning to sit for one of the next 2 administrations of the bar, but would like to have this until then. TIA!

I’d like to leave my current company soon (complicated). I interviewed with several companies but no offers materialized (someone had more relevant experience or better fit than I). now running out of roles to apply to. There are a few companies I would have not even considered applying to initially (no industry knowledge, too far to commute, not financially stable) but now feel like I can’t be too picky. Should I just apply to every relevant role I see although I don’t think I’ll be happy there
