You REALLY need to get out there and get a new crush...

The answer is simple. You have nothing else going on that your mind is taking you that far back, perhaps that is when you last felt anything. Take this as a sign to do some living and cultivate new relationships and connections

Hope to learn more if you bought an apt in Manhattan, or if you decided against it (renting/moving to upstate/Long Island/Jersey). My husband and I are considering to have a baby soon and are thinking of buying and living in Manhattan for the next 10 years or so (looking at property under $2M). Please share what you considered as you were making the decision - I hate throwing away rent but also don’t want to trap ourselves in significant financial obligations. Thanks!

For those who already have a baby - I (36f) just had a baby 6 weeks ago, and my wife (33F) is now back at work (WFH) and I’m still on leave. Since I have the baby all day and get up with her all night, my wife basically “takes over” baby duty when she stops working. The problem is that within an HOUR she has lost all patience with the baby. She gets frustrated so quickly if the baby is crying and will say things like “I’m just going to let her cry since nothing im doing helps” (cont)

What is your companies paid parental leave benefit/policy? Currently offer 12 weeks fully paid for any new parent and thinking about adding additional time.

Any parents here who really struggled after the arrival of a new baby? It was a planned pregnancy, but after 2 years of this new life, I feel trapped and I feel like this is not the life that I wanted. I know I'll probably get a lot of mean comments here. Looking for anyone who might have experienced this to share their stories/outcomes/what you did. Thanks.

I moved back in with my parents in August, and my mom and stepfather have demanded monthly rent. They are in no way poor at this moment in time, and in my opinion it’s f*cked up to demand your child pay rent. I bought a VR headset a couple weeks back and my mom increased the rent because “I can afford it.” Is this normal? I honestly feel used. Fwiw I’ve worked since I was 13, and hustled my entire life.

Been w/ my bf 5.5 yrs, but I keep wondering when he's going to "get it together". He's been fired from 2 manager jobs in less than a year, one because he was caught doing coke there (off-duty). Now he's bartending under the table. I have huge concerns that he has serious drug/alcohol problems but it also just boils down to, does he want to improve? He's the kindest, sweetest person and we really love each other. But at some point I need my partner in his mid-30s to have a savings account 🤷‍♀️

And can’t impose judgment one way or another either.

Maybe I’m biased due to having poor luck, but why is dating so hard? Everyone just wants the next best thing and no one is ever satisfied. One argument and people sprint for the door instead of reconciling as they have “options.”

People on dating apps seem like they’re only on there to validate themselves to feel better when they get “likes” or “swipes,” but will not respond when messaged.

I honestly don’t think true love is a real thing.
