How much is too much reaching out? Some context: I’m on the bench and I spoke to my SM about my availability on a Monday. They say they will find me some work. But I don’t hear from him at all. Hi all, I am in bench and dropped papers, for early relieving to whom should we need to discuss, with RMG or HR, or both of them.

I’m currently on the bench and had a senior colleague reach out to me about assisting with a work item. I volunteered to help (but I can’t charge my time). There was (to my knowledge) an entire team of individuals working on the project up until last week so it seemed to me that my help wasn’t really needed. The project is spinning down and they’ve lessened the team members, but I’m still helping out with tasks. I don’t mind helping at all, but it seems weird. Am I thinking into this too much?

I don’t like it, but my leaders continue to tell me that all experience is good experience. Should I try to breakout and find a variety of experience this early in my career or should I try to make it to 3 years and re-evaluate then? Have you had a similar experience? What have you done?

I just started this job as a graphic designer for a small printing company. Since working there, I've already had to perform other tasks besides graphic design. The company is really short-staffed so occasionally "everyone has to chip in" so to speak. I don't mind helping out but sometimes it happens a bit too often.
On top of that, the art department is in the same space as the sales department. So the sales lady is always giving her opinion about how the creative process should go.
