Happy Birthday America. I am also a 2nd generation American and agree, this is the best country. Probably the only place you can go from barely being able to afford shoes to a country club in one generation.

Awesome!! No one is saying anything good about America. My people have been here a long time and I’m so grateful. Thanks for saying this!

Great post! Proud to be your fellow citizen. There are many great aspects to the US, even if there are a number of things we need to work on as a society.

I was playing Music Choice’s Sound of the Season channel yesterday and it reaffirmed how amazing America is. Listening to old songs from the world wars, songs about our beautiful country, and songs about our people made me fall in love with America all over again. (Family immigrated in the 1800s)

I agree.... then I think 🤔. Wish those stats didn’t say otherwise but if we are just seeing the good. Sure, let’s do it! July 4th celebrations 🎊 in quarantine. Good Luck US see you in 2021🍀

Agreed to everything except the “nicest people in the Western world”. Nope. Have you been to Canada?!

Yes, I've worked there, lived in London and have friends in Australia and my experiences in America have consistently been more positive. These are just my experiences, could be different of others. Also, no need for me to make this up, just stating my experiences.

Any women here in hetero relationships in which your male partner is less ambitious/sharklike/wealth focused than you, with lower earning potential? I’m torn between a lifetime of programming telling me I’m settling vs my belief in gender equality and understanding of the benefits of a partner who might put my career first. I’d love to hear how others experience this “non-traditional” dynamic and how it’s worked in marriage once you combine finances and work together toward shared life goals.

I feel terrible. My mum and my husband both told me I am fat and need to lose weight ASAP. They were not trying to insult me, they both really think they have my best in interest.
