Happy Monday everyone! I wanted to share something with you all that has helped my anxiety and overall well being. I started doing 10 minute mindfulness meditations daily and it has been the biggest game changer. I find so much more calm and peace throughout my day. I even do it in the middle of the work day if I feel myself getting reactive. I use the calm app (they send you 40% off the 1 year subscription) and they have great material! Hope this helps. What are the best accounting/finance jobs for people with social anxiety? I'm an accountant (wfh) in industry and I just can't keep going like this. Is it a sign to not leave yet if I’m hesitant to leave big law despite receiving offers at good companies? I am a junior associate that’s really burned out and yet I fear making the leap because of “missing” people I’ve worked with (who probably won’t remember me much) and all the hopes I had for myself when I first summered. But I also know this job has been extremely tough on my health and my family and I regretted it the first time I turned down an offer.

Second year at lit boutique. Being asked to draft a lot of briefs from scratch. Work product is great but I take way too long. Not necessarily procrastinating. I just struggle to get a flow state. I rewrite the same sentences over and over. Constantly restructure outline. Always stop to check westlaw. I want to just power through a first draft and add cites/revise prose later. But can’t figure out. Flow state only comes when I’m backed against a wall. Currently on medication. Any other tips?

So I’m 7 weeks 3 days and I haven’t been sick at all. I know I should count myself lucky and not worry at all because it’s normal but I can’t help myself but worry because I feel…normal? I got a handheld ultrasound at week 5 and the doctor saw the gestational sac but nothing else (which apparently is normal at 5 weeks) I have my first real ultrasound in 3 days and I’m so so so nervous. I can't stop being angry and disappointed in myself. I'm on PTO and decided to take care a few of the household chores. I multi-task all of the time and can't help it.

I forgot that I turned on the water to fill up the ultility sink in the basement and ran back upstairs to do something else. Well 2 hours later as I turn on the shower, I wonder why it's not getting hot. Then I remembered the basement. Obviously it overflowed and I had .25 inches of water on the floor (concrete)
