Rising Star
It's worth going to the 10 yr. It's fun to look back and laugh, and it'll all be reasonably fresh in your mind. I never went to my 20th... cutting open a 20 yr old scar seemed like a little bit too much.
All that said, where people actually ended up in life vs how you perceived their trajectory is super interesting. In high school, it was easy to feel like some folks were so far ahead that you were never going to catch up. You'll find some comfort when you find out things kind of all netted out... still some superstars, but in general, you'll see you are doing just fine.
Thank you for sharing!
Went to mine pre COVID and really enjoyed it. People just seemed friendlier and most people did not have any hard feelings. I think there was the mutual understanding that we’d probably never see each other again
Yeah I think it’ll be really fun just to see old friends in person. I’m definitely planning on going. Thanks for sharing!

Eesh. Your catty comments are why so many people avoid high school reunions.
Feel good about yourself OP. Just don’t let it be because someone else is down or “beneath you” now … that would mean you’re still letting those clowns define you and that’s no way to live.
really? sounds more like 25 yr reunion lol
Yes, I agree and pregnancy for some of the girls.
I already keep in touch with the friends I had, I really don't see the point of hs reunions
Lol yeah I’m still in contact with my best friend from HS, but I think it’ll be fun just to see the entire class again. You should go to yours.
10 year reunion was where all the nice people who were not yet married connected with their eventual spouses. It was also an opportunity to rekindle friendships with kids that you post touch with due to college and first jobs.
Awww that’s very sweet! I hope we have a good turn out.
I planned my 10 year and it was so awful to plan but the actual event was fun esp bc it was mostly just my friends that went
Wow that’s really sad. Glad you had fun though!
I was bullied in HS for my weight and I’m not going to lie, it feels good being the class glow up. I lost 60lbs and I’m really into fitness now and pretty successful. I really want to attend the reunion though just to see how everyone’s doing since it has been so long.
HS reunions are not as they are portrayed in movies at all
10yr was not worth any of my time. I went with my best friend and hung out with my high school crew, who all happen to be in my life still. Everyone else: largely the same type of people from HS, so really not even something to register. 20 year coming up and if my crew goes, I’ll go just to support them and maybe say hi to a few other people, but if covid cancels it I won’t be sad either.
Fwiw I feel like I had a glow up, at 10 and now 20, I’m pretty proud of my life and family, but these people and their approval don’t matter to me so I don’t see a lot of value in going.
I just realized I've been out for 7 years, Covid killed our 5th one. dang it doesn't seem that long ago
Time has wings! I can’t believe it has been 10 years. Feels like I graduated yesterday.
