I personally don’t know any couples therapists but in the meantime you and your SO can download the app called Lasting. Found it pretty useful. You take “quizzes” to learn each others thoughts/styles in Conflict, Resolution, Parenting Styles, etc. and it’s free for a week. Might be worth downloading while you keep searching for therapist!

My so and I really like our couples therapist. Of course depends on what you’re looking for but dm if you’d like to talk. We are in LA but she is fine with remote sessions.

I’m currently a third year in my small firm’s life sciences team. I’m not really stimulated by the work and although they say they have a lot of work, they’re not good at managing workload. I haven’t had much work on my plate even after asking many times for more than six months. I’m ready to move to a larger law firm. However, I am concerned how I’ll manage the workload as a mom to a toddler. The good thing about my firm is that they’re flexible with hours. Anyone have experience balancing?

I started searching for work at anther firm. I accepted an offer for the things I am looking for. I am freaking out over the change even though I know moving on is the best thing for me and my family. I feel so anxious. I'm sad for leaving coworkers now friends. I'm sad that the firm I am leaving let me down.
I will keep pushing forward but the anxiety of leaving is overpowering the excitement of new things to come (things I asked 4). My eyes r tearing rt now...what is wrong w/ me?

I had a wedding planned for last May. Covid struck and we delayed until September originally thinking the pandemic would pass. We were wrong. Delayed it again until this upcoming May. We are 6 months out so I don’t want to be an alarmist but things are going very poorly again. What are the chances of things looking normal-ish by then? My SO does the brunt of the planning which I greatly appreciate and she is great at it, but I don’t know how much more of the rescheduling she can take.

It is astonish the kind of relationship advice that most people post here. Aside from one or other trying to be empathetic most people post stuff like “yeah you should just break up/divorce”. I’m always flabbergasted by the lack of respect for third party feelings and history. Here’s my advice to literally everyone in those threads. Go to therapy. Because you are either here seeking validation or dumping your own resentments into others.

For those of you with kids, I am looking to travel with my wife and son (who’ll be 2.5 years old at the time of travel) to either Greece or Italy - any suggestions on which one to do? Not planning on doing both in one trip and not looking for suggestions to consider alternatives. Simply looking for advice on which one to do with a toddler this age from those that have experience traveling with kids. Leaning towards Italy but I doubt a 2.5 year old cares much about Roman history.
