Is it normal that my husband thinks it’s ok to come home to sleep at night while im the hospital giving birth to our first child? I have been working from home so far this busy season and my wife is staying home with our 6 month old daughter. My wife really struggles to watch her during the day so I can focus on work, often she gets so aggravated and I end up taking care of our daughter so she can calm down. I just don't know how to handle it, my wife just gets more upset when we talk about things. She struggled with PPD early on and not sure if that could still be an issue. I would love any advice.

How crucial is it to get along with your mother in law? What’s your thought on a male colleague’s pursuit of spending more time with family given that (i) he’s in his twenties; (ii) he has a newly borne baby; (iii) his wife is a foreigner and does not have a salaried job. He decides to leave my current firm and if he does, his entire family will lose insurance. I personally found it very irresponsible but was told being wrong. So I want to know why I am wrong.
